Most of the weighted blankets we tested are worth a recommendation—and there are a lot of them. However, these were not as exclusive as the selections above.

Quince's Knitted Blanket for $150, This open-weave blanket costs less than Bearabi's, but it's of higher quality and uses recycled polyester fill. There's just one 15-pound weight option, and it's a bit more rigid than what Bareby offers. I like both models, but if you want a drapey blanket, go with the Bearabi. (Quins makes some our favorite sheet, Available for £15

Luxurious weighted blanket for $135+, luxom makes me a pair favorite sheetsAnd now I like its blanket too. I tried the one-piece blanket, with one side made of bamboo lyocell and the other made of plush minky fabric, but there are a few options, including blankets with separate covers. Lying under the bamboo provided extra coolness at its best. It comes in an impressive amount of weight options. Available in 8, 15, 18, or 25 pounds

Sleep Number True Temp Weighted Blanket for $200, This blanket comes with a cover that stays cool overnight, and that was pretty accurate in my experience. i got polyester material Now! There is a little scratch, so I wouldn't want to sleep directly under it, but I usually layer a sheet and a heavy blanket over the quilt. Available in 12 or 20 pounds

Luna Sherpa Throw for $70, We like several of the options linked above from Luna, and this Sherpa throw is incredibly soft and lightweight enough for its size. It is also machine washable. Available for £10

Basics by Gravity Blanket: This blanket is one of our all-time favorites, but it hasn't been available for several months. If you can find it somewhere, it's a great option, at $80, it's cheaper than competitors but has the same feel. Available for £15

Gravity weighted blanket $250 to $300, The above Basics by Gravity is our first choice because it is a great blanket at a good price. This basic blanket from the brand is also luxurious and available in more weights, sizes, and beautiful colors, but you'll have to pay for it. Available in 15, 20, or 35 pounds

Thera Weighted Blanket from $48 to $128, This blanket is probably the softest thing I have ever touched, like caressing a furry animal. However, after my first few weeks with it, it burst and let the glass beads go all over my bed like sand. I think kitty claws get the best of it, so keep that in mind and treat it with care. Available in 10, 12, or 15 pounds

Aricove Weighted Blanket $170 to $275, This is a great cooling blanket for sleeping alone. It's nice and thin, so you won't feel trapped or too hot under it. Available in 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, or 22 pounds

Casper Weighted Blanket from $169 to $189, Casper is another popular bedding brand whose blanket is classic cool cotton rather than knitted or plush, which can be warm. About the size of a throw blanket, it's so dense that even the lightest model gives you a comfortably squeezed feeling, while the heaviest model is like a Thundershirt for humans. Casper also has frequent sales. Available in 10, 15, or 20 pounds

Layla Weighted Blanket from $199 to $239, Our tester loved cuddling up with a partner under Layla's giant king-size blanket. It is double-sided with one cotton and one plush side. Available in 15, 20, or 25 pounds

Yogibo Calming Antimicrobial Weighted Blanket for $159, The actual blanket is cool cotton, but the real highlight here is Yogibo's famous cotton and spandex blend it uses for its cover. The company says it is extremely soft and it is not lying. It's flexible, smooth, and machine washable (the actual blanket is not). However I did find that pet hair tended to stick to it, which is common with soft fabrics. Available for £15

Gravid Weighted Blanket $177 to $247, This blanket comes with a plush or cooling cover (or both), and that's where it shines. There's nothing worse than a blanket cover with only a few attachment points so that after a few minutes under it, everything gets twisted and cast aside. The Gravid cover attaches with a zipper that runs the entire length of the blanket. Why other brands don't do this is beyond me. Available in 15 or 20 pounds
