Provo, Utah – Five domestic llamas were spotted taking an evening stroll along train tracks in Provo, Utah, on Thursday, after the woolly creatures ran away from their owner, according to the Utah Transit Authority.

Multiple emergency responders were dispatched to surround the small herd after transit officials received reports of animals wandering onto the Union Pacific line. Transit authority spokesman Gavin Gustafson said the discovery of the llama did not cause delays in train service.

Gustafson said it was unknown whether the llamas had been captured as of 10 p.m. local time, about three and a half hours after crews were called to the area, 43 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Details about how the llamas escaped and where they came from were not immediately available.
