President William Ruto on Tuesday, December 31, made prayers for wishes for the new year 2025. In his four-minute supplication, Ruto prayed for the prosperity of the nation among other key issues, including raising morally upright children and plans his administration intends to do.
The Head of State said the prayers at the Kisii State Lodge while delivering his New Year’s speech to the nation, where he appealed for God’s intervention.
Ruto also asked for help from above to ensure quick implementation of his regime’s developmental agenda, rebuking all evil forces orchestrated to undermine his government.
Indirectly, addressing the contentious issue of abductions of young people, Ruto asked God to help parents and guardians raise law-abiding children.

At the same time, the president committed every leader in the country at every stage, including Members of County Assemblies, Members of Parliament, and those in government positions.
“Every leader in Kenya. All of us, Heavenly Father, you have granted us the opportunity to lead your people. Help us to understand and to know your will for this nation. Help us, Jehovah, so that your will is done in Kenya.”
