Federal investigators find bomb-making materials during search of Texas home The man responsible for the deadly truck attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, law enforcement officials said Friday.

Authorities say Jabbar drove from Houston to New Orleans in a rented pickup truck plowed through the crowd Crowd of revelers around 3 am on New Year's Day, murder of 14 people And dozens were injured. Officials said police shot him.
Christopher Raya, deputy assistant director of the FBI's counterintelligence division, said in a briefing Thursday that Jabbar had planted two improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, on Bourbon Street. Raya said the devices were found in coolers, and were active at the time, but were “secured” by law enforcement. A person familiar with the investigation told CBS News that the devices were rudimentary pipe bombs containing shrapnel including nails, screws and nails.
Investigators also searched the Airbnb where Jabbar stayed in New Orleans and detonated materials believed to belong to him at the Airbnb location on Wednesday afternoon.
The FBI said Thursday that Jabbar had posted videos declaring his support for ISIS shortly before the deadly violence.
