Press secretary Will not be in the press secretary's office in Donald Trump's new White House,
Multiple sources told CBS News that the media operation will be revamped and a deputy chief of staff will move into a spacious office with a wood-burning fireplace.
West Wing office real estate has long been a status symbol in official Washington, where proximity to and access to the president can equate to influence. And the White House press secretary traditionally enjoys one of the largest rooms in a cramped building.
Taylor Budovich, the incoming deputy chief of staff for communications and Cabinet affairs, will likely occupy the office typically used by the press secretary, which sits across the hall from the Oval Office and overlooks the North Lawn.
However, plans have not yet been finalized and may be subject to change.

Incoming Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt will report to Communications Director, Steven Cheung. She will maintain direct access to the president – so-called Oval Office walk-in privileges.
Communications and press operations, normally separate but parallel White House functions, will be merged.
However, as was the case in Trump's first administration, his staff has long viewed the President-elect as their best spokesperson and expect him to assume that role again.
