But if you can't beat them, join them. That's what Lenovo did with the Legion Go S. It is not its successor go army– The company unveiled a prototype Legion Go 2 with some small improvements – but it's an alternative version that comes in two flavors: Windows or SteamOS. This makes it the first licensed handheld gaming console to run on SteamOS. Unfortunately, there's no dual-booting option, you'll have to choose which operating system you want at checkout, although you are able to run third-party game stores on SteamOS, like the Epic Games Store.

With SteamOS, you can take advantage of cloud saves, so you can stop playing on your desktop PC or laptop and switch to Legion Go S without losing progress. If the games are more graphically demanding you can also stream games from your PC to the console (as long as your internet connection is good).

Outside of the software, the Legion Go S variant has identical hardware. They are powered by AMD's Ryzen Z2 Go or Ryzen Z1 Extreme, feature an 8-inch 1,920 X 1,200-pixel resolution LCD display 120-Hz variable refresh rate. The smaller and lower-resolution screen compared to the original Legion Go should provide better battery life, though it also helps that the battery is more robust at 55.5 watt hours. It doesn't feature removable controllers, though you can use two USB-C ports to connect it to a monitor for a desktop-like experience, and there's a microSD card slot to expand storage.

The Windows-powered Legion Go S starts at $730 and arrives this month, though there will be other configurations with the new chipset in late May, with prices starting at $600. The SteamOS version starts at $500 and will launch in May.

Monitor Speakers with Private Audio

Lenovo has dozens of new CES products, but one last thing that stood out to me is the ThinkCentre M90a Pro Gen 6 all-in-one computerIt doesn't sound that exciting (it rarely is after all), but Lenovo has put new technology into this machine called “Lenovo Focus Sound.” It's almost like a movie put on a display that delivers audio specifically to you – using machine learning algorithms and a built-in camera, it ensures only you can hear the audio from the monitor so nearby coworkers Can't hear that you're secretly holding love island,

It feels weird—almost like someone is whispering in your ear—but it works! I stood directly in front of the computer and listened to the demo reel, and the people next to me couldn't hear anything. I moved a little to the right and the sound disappeared. This seems useful for an office environment, but still, headphones already exist. Still, the technology is pretty cool, even if it seems a little annoying. The M90a Pro Gen 6 will go on sale this quarter and will be priced starting at $2,539.
