Washington – Jimmy Carter's funeral service Held Thursday at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., where the former president was honored through tributes and musical selections and performances.

President Biden praised the former president, while President Gerald Ford's son Steve Ford read a tribute written by his late father. Ford and Carter were political rivals in 1976, but later became close friends. Ted MondaleSon of Carter's Vice President Walter Mondale, also paid tribute From his late father.

Stu Eisenstat, a former White House adviser and friend of the 39th president, also spoke, as did Carter's grandson, Jason Carter. Carter, along with another of his grandsons, Joshua Carter, spoke and read a Bible passage, while former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young delivered a sermon.

Musical selections and performances included “The Road Home” by the Cathedral Choir, “Amazing Grace” by Phyllis Adams, and “Imagine” and “Eternal Father” by Lelia Bolden, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood of Songs Rise to Thee. “Strong to Save,” sung by the U.S. Marine Orchestra and Armed Forces Chorus.

The funeral service was attended by several leaders, including President-elect Donald Trump and other living former presidents – Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and George W. Bush.

The service follows nearly a week of remembrance in Carter's honor, which Died on 29th December At the age of 100, Carter will be buried next to his wife of 77 years in his hometown of Plains, Georgia. Rosalyn Carter,
