After two days of dealing with wildfires that have burned thousands of acres, Los Angeles County residents received a wildfire evacuation warning Thursday afternoon that turned out to be a mistake. Shortly afterward, officials sent out a follow-up alert saying the notice was only for people near the Kenneth Fire in Woodland Hills.
Los Angeles County shared a message on x Explaining what happened: “An evacuation order for residents near the Kenneth Fire currently burning in the West Hills was mistakenly issued across the entire county. This alert was only for residents of Calabasas and Agoura Hills.
