The headteacher of Nyakianga Primary School was chased away from the school’s premises by angry parents who stormed the institution on Saturday following reports of defilement at the school.
Speaking to the media, the parents relayed that the school head had turned a blind eye despite several students reporting that a Grade seven student was defiling and sodomising them.
Police officers had to intervene as the irate mob bayed for the blood of both the headteacher and the boy, evacuating them from the scene.
“Our children have been getting harrassed by the boy. He asks them for money, oil, and sugar and even assaults them with a knife he keeps on his desk. This is why we are saying we have no faith in the school. The headteacher has to go and never come back,” one of the parents lamented.

Another parent even accused the headteacher of displaying behaviour that the boy emulated leading him to carry out the depraved actions.
“The headteacher and his wife should never come back here because they are the ones who have shown these children such behaviour. They always behave badly in front of the children. It is a ‘Monkey see, monkey do’ kind of situation,” she stated.
According to the victims of the boy, he would lure them into classrooms armed with a knife while the other students and teachers were occupied.
After violating his victims, he would then reportedly threaten them with violence if they ever told anyone. He would also take pictures of his naked victims.
Despite this, the victims went on to report the matter several times to the school head who failed to take any action, leading the parents to intervene.
Efforts by officers and education officials in the area to convince the parents to reconvene the school on Monday were met with opposition.
“The teachers have done no wrong. I have heard your concerns and I have taken notes to give to my seniors to explain the situation in Nyakianga and they will hear me out. Let us keep the peace for the time being and bring back the children on Monday,” stated Gabriel Kinoru, the Mathioya Education Officer.
Moses Emajong the Police Commandant also tried to dissolve the situation saying, “If we do not bring them to school it is the children that will suffer.”
The boy was ultimately taken into custody and is being held at the Nyakianga Police Station awaiting arraignment at Kangema Law Courts on Monday.
Police officers recovered both the knife and the phone he used to take pictures of his victims from him.
