Murang’a County is the top county in the country according to the latest data from InfoTrak. Governor Irungu Kang’ata was ranked the best governor with a score of 68 per cent.
According to the County Index released on Tuesday, February 11, Murang’a had a score of 52 per cent, closely followed by Homa Bay County which scored 51 per cent.
Trans Nzoia and Kirinyaga were both rated as third-place counties with a score of 48 per cent while Kisii (47), Nyeri (47), and Kisumu (47), ) were all ranked fifth.
Uasin Gishu (46), Elgeyo Marakwet (46), Makueni, Bungoma, Kiambu, and Lamu were all ranked eighth best-performing counties in the country.
In terms of governors, Kang’ata is leading, with George Natembeya ranked second, while Gladys Wanga closes the to three. Natembeya has a score of 64 per cent and Wanga scored 61 per cent.
Anyang’ Nyong’o (59 per cent), Mutula Kilonzo (57 per cent), Wisley Rotich (57 per cent), Simba Arati (55 per cent), Gideon Mungaro (54 per cent), Mutahi Kahiga (54 per cent), and Kimani Wamatangi (53 per cent) are in the top 10.
