As the name suggests, the Lomo'Instax Wide Glass shoots Instax Wide prints and has a glass lens. At $279, it's not cheap, but the quality of the images coming out of this camera is the best I've seen in any Instax camera I've tested.

Lomography has long made Lomo'Instax Wide film, which like Fujifilm has recently been updated instax wide 400Prints Instax Wide images taken through the plastic lens. Plastic lenses are common in Instax cameras. Sticking to plastic keeps the camera in the more palatable sub-$150 range. plastic lenses like fujifilm popular mini 12 Fine for most casual, snapshot scenarios. I have two plastic-lens Instax cameras and I'm perfectly happy with them most of the time.

That said, glass lenses undeniably give better results, which is where Lomo's Instant Wide glasses come in. The photos I have taken with this camera are some of the best I have taken with any Instax camera. They're sharper and have better, more accurate color rendition.
The first thing to know about Lomo's Instant Wide Glass is that it's a big camera – 7.3 inches wide and 4.6 inches high and deep. It looks and handles a lot like some 6×9 film cameras I've used in the past (Fujifilm's GW series cameras come to mind), which makes sense since the film area of an Instax Wide print is much larger than that of a 6×9 negative. Is close. It is difficult to overcome the laws of physics. The good news is that although it's a bit heavy, the Glass isn't cumbersome and would feel just as at home as an extra camera during a studio portrait shoot, which makes it seem like Lomography is installing it there.
