President-elect Donald Trump announced flood of nominations On Tuesday, international trade lawyer Jamison Greer was appointed as his US trade representative, Kevin Hassett as director of the White House National Economic Council and Vince Haley as director of the Domestic Policy Council.

Announcing Greer's nomination, Trump said in a statement that Greer had played a key role in his first term. impose tariff on China and others and replacing trade deals with Canada and Mexico, “so it makes it much better for American workers.”

Meanwhile, economist Kevin Hassett was named director of the White House National Economic Council, bringing a leading advocate for tax cuts into Trump's administration.

Trump said in Tuesday's announcement that Hassett will “play a critical role in helping American families recover from the inflation unleashed by the Biden administration” and that together they will “renew and improve” the 2017 tax cuts, many of which Are scheduled to expire after 2025.

Hassett, 62, served as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers in Trump's first term. She holds a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and worked at the right-leaning American Enterprise Institute before joining the Trump White House in 2017.
