Some Costco eggs sold under the Kirkland Signature brand are being recalled due to the risk of salmonella, According On a notice from the US Food and Drug Administration.

According to the notice, the 24-count eggs produced by Kirkland Signature Organic Pastures were sold at 25 Costco locations in several states. The recall involves 10,800 packages of eggs, which are from Handsome Brook Farms and were distributed to Costco stores beginning November 22.

The FDA said there have been no reports of illnesses linked to the eggs.

States where eggs were sold:

  • alabama
  • Georgia
  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • tennessee

The recalled eggs are packaged in plastic egg cartons with the Kirkland Signature label on top, and UPC 9661910680 printed on their containers. The FDA said the recall applies only to egg cartons with Julian code 327 and a “use by” date of January 5, 2025, which is also printed on the side of the package.

“No other products will be affected by this recall,” the FDA said.

What to do with eggs recalled by Costco

The FDA said consumers who purchased the eggs should not eat them, but should return them to their local Costco store for a refund, or throw the eggs out.
