Auctioneers Put on Auction Gor Mahia Chair Ambrose Rachier's Entire 5-Storey Property

A prime residential property belonging to Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia’s longtime chairman Ambrose Dickson Otieno Rachier has been put up for auction.

According to an advert placed by the Mbuli Auctioneers in one of the local dailies, the prime property was put on auction after their principals instructed them to put the property on sale.

The property is a five-storey residential building located within the neighbourhood of Winners Chapel, Within Road C off Likoni Road in Nairobi County. 

”Under instructions from our principals, the chargees, in the exercise of their statutory power of sale, we shall sell by Public Auction on Wednesday, December 18 2024 at 11.00 am in our offices on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, the under-mentioned properties and all the improvements erected thereon,” the advert read in part.

”All that property is known as L.R. NO. 209/10234 (1. R 55917) registered in the name Ambrose Dickson Otieno Rachier,” the notice added.

According to the auctioneers, the property is held on a leasehold interest and sits on a fairly rectangular-shaped plot with boundaries marked by building lines.

”The plot measures approximately Zero Decimal Zero Five Two Five (0.0525) Hectares (0.1297 Acres),” the auctioneer added.

Key features of the building include parking bays, one and four-bedroom units, landing lobbies and is served by a motorable earth road.

”Electricity, Water, and Sewer are connected to the property. The property is situated in the neighbourhood of Winners Chapel, Within Road C off Likoni Road in Nairobi County. It lies next to Salama Court about 200 meters South of Winners Chapel, 300 meters from Likoni Road, and approximately 700 meters from Mombasa Road. It is identified as Abono Green Flat,” the notice stated.

The auctioneer urged all interested bidders to view and verify all the details of the property by themselves, without involving third parties.

”Interested bidders are requested to obtain bid numbers by paying Kes 500,000.00 refundable
deposit fee before the Auction dates,” the notice added.

However, it was not immediately clear why the building belonging to the Gor Mahia custodian was being put on auction.
