28-Year-Old Lady Surrenders to Police after Stabbing Lover to Death

A lady hailing from Siaya County on Saturday surrendered herself to the police after stabbing her lover to death over infidelity.

The woman identified as Vivian Akoth surrendered to Siaya Police Station where she is being held pending further investigations into the issue that has sparked uproar.

The area assistant chief, Grace Otieno, confirmed the incident to the press noting that the deceased arrived home at around 9 pm in the company of his friend before the deceased’s girlfriend arrived.

According to the assistant chief, the deceased friend heard a commotion that made him suspicious of what was going on.

It is alleged, without warning, that the 28-year-old lady, a mother of one launched an attack on her 35-year-old boyfriend Charlton Obare over an alleged cheating.

She stabbed him in the chest with an item believed to be a sharp object. Following the attack, the deceased immediately fell to the ground half dead.

The assistant chief explained that on realising that the deceased had been seriously wounded, the lady Vivian called the friend who had accompanied the deceased to confirm his status.

The fiancée of the deceased then sent for a motorbike to take him to the hospital where unfortunately he was pronounced dead on arrival.

In the ensuing confusion, the lady disappeared and presented herself to the nearby police station, confessing the cold-blooded murder.

The Assistant Chief liaised with the police who arrived at the scene to launch their investigations into the murder.

The body of the deceased has since been transferred to the Siaya County Referral Hospital morgue awaiting post-mortem examination by the government pathologist. 

It comes barely a week after another woman stabbed to death a 24-year-old man, a student who was 4 days away from graduating from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) over an affair gone sour. It’s alleged the two had an affair before the tragic incident took place in Huruma Area in Kitale.
