Love is simple, Reverend Paul Anthony Daniel says, because “in his most intestine,” it boils for three things: spit, semen and sweating. Okay, perhaps four. Sometimes there is blood. “It is very intestine to share love in that way.”
I have a confession, I tell Daniel. I have never been in love – not like a hallmark film, at least – but finds me myself craving the big that I get, so I rocked him a little to describe him with such candor Has left You know, being a priest and all. God is in people, he says. Which means God is also in sex.
Daniel loves LoveHe tells me whatever he does in whatever he does, but especially in people. It is part of his job as an apischopal priest and is “intermediary of Christ's love in the world”. Formally, he is “a steward of rituals – echoists, baptism, marriage, confirmation. I invite people to a relationship with God through those sacred rituals. But it is more than that.”
