BlueSky now has a specific tab for mentions in your notifications as part of the app Just released update 1.96With the Mentions tab, it is very easy to see your replies or conversations in which you have been tagged on the platform.
Speaking of replies, update 1.96 lets you easily access settings that let you control how replies appear to you on posts. Replies can be linear, meaning they show one post after another, or threaded, meaning they appear in indented threads (like they appear on Reddit). You can sort the answers by newest, oldest, most liked, “hot” and “random” (what Bluesky also calls “posters roulette”).
If you choose to set A custom domain as your usernameWith 1.96, Bluesky will also reserve your old .bsky.social name so that it can't be picked up by anyone else. I wish this feature was available when I set up my custom domain – when I did this, I created an alternate account that was parked at my old .bsky.social name so it wouldn't be taken over.
