We already knew it was in the works, and now we have an idea of how it will look and run. At the Game Awards, Gearbox Software released the first proper trailer for Border Zone 4Which is going to be released in 2025. The trailer starts off with a cinematic scene depicting some kind of large-scale conflict, before getting into the actual gameplay – which is as colorful and violent as you'd expect from the franchise. The game can be played alone or together with up to three other players, and Gearbox says there are “billions” of weapons to use.
Here's the basic setup:
Break free from the oppressive Timekeeper, a cruel dictator who rules over the masses from above. Now a world-changing disaster threatens his perfect order, wreaking havoc across the planet. Ignite the resistance and fight your way through mechanical monsters, bloodthirsty bandits and evil beasts. Assemble an arsenal of death-dealing firepower to wreak havoc as you make your way across Kairos.
Whereas Border Zone 4 It doesn't have a specific release date yet, it's coming to PS5, Xbox, and PC next year.
