“Together we can make Kenya a leader in digital excellence to safeguard citizens’ privacy and promote innovation,” he said.
The CS emphasised the need for advancing digital infrastructure and promoting innovation and protecting personal data and ensuring economic growth.
He further hinted on driving forward Kenya’s digital transformation together and opening portals for public engagement while adhering to the law.
He commended the partnership with European Union (EU) that has helped Kenya to be placed on top in Africa in terms of digital transformation.
CS Kabogo lauded the strides Kenyan government has made in digitization of services, noting that the government will open 1450 digital hubs in a couple of months so that young men and women can work from home enjoying internet at almost no cost.
