A police report revealed that the Kenya Navy soldier was reportedly stabbed in the stomach but succumbed to the injury while being rushed to the hospital.

Police, while addressing the press after the incident, noted that they had launched a manhunt for the two suspects, who are currently at large. The police also revealed that they were working to unravel the motive behind the attack.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has since been moved to the Pandya mortuary in Likoni pending autopsy and further investigations.

Puzzling incidents of soldiers and police officers being killed under mysterious circumstances seem to have become the norm in recent years, depicting a worrying trend for President William Ruto’s administration.

In an almost similar incident in August last year, a police officer was brutally stabbed to death during a violent confrontation at a bar in Embakasi, Nairobi County.

According to a police report, the victim had gone to attend a Kalenjin night with his friends when the commotion began, leading to his death. The owner of the bar quickly informed the police, who rushed to the scene only to find their colleague’s body lying lifeless on the floor.

The officers who spoke moments after witnessing their colleague’s body revealed that the deceased had deep cuts on the head, potentially from a sharp object.

The police immediately cordoned off the area and began investigations while the body of the deceased was transferred to the Mama Lucy Hospital.
