Mbadi, Kagwe, and Duale Headline 18 New Government Appointments

Cabinet Secretaries, among them new entrants Mutahi Kagwe and Lee Kinyanjui, made fresh appointments across their ministries in the latest round of government appointments.

Just a day after he was sworn into office, Agriculture CS Mutahi Kagwe made six appointments in his ministry in an industrious effort to streamline operations at the ministry.

As per a gazette notice dated January 17, Kagwe appointed five new members to the National Livestock Development and Promotion Service. This is seemingly in line with the government’s livestock vaccination programme, which has come under large scrutiny.

Hassan Roba, Erukudi Ekustan, Aloise Loitomaga, Ubah Ibrahim, and Justinie Rakita were the new appointees to the NLDPS and will serve for three years.
