A mother is mourning the tragic death of her last child, a daughter, just a few years after burying her husband and two sons, all in two rare accidents.
The woman, currently admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), was involved in a fire accident while on vacation in Mombasa with her daughter.
According to her, the accident happened when a water heater malfunctioned, splattering water on her and her daughter and causing severe burns.
They were rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident, but unfortunately, the daughter succumbed to her injuries.

The Alliance Girls High School student had sustained burns on 60 per cent of her body, while her mother had burns on 40 per cent of her body.
Besides fighting for her life at the hospital, the mother also suffers the pain of having her entire family wiped out in two separate accidents.
A few years ago, her husband was driving their two sons back to Nairobi from Narok when a flash flood caught up with them and swept their car away.
“Sadly, when they reached Narok, just before Suswa, they were swept away by the notorious Narok flash floods. Flash floods occur when the rains are overwhelming. As the water goes downhill, it gains momentum, carrying along with it massive debris, including huge boulders, trees, etc,” David Osiany, also a family friend, relayed.
“The only surviving members of her family were her and her daughter. Now she is left alone. Distraught, traumatised, and terrified,” a family member urged.
Now contained in a hospital bed nursing her injuries, her hospital bills are still piling up as she undergoes surgery after surgery to treat her.
“We are dealing with her and she is in a critical but stable condition. She has gone through a lot of surgeries,” a doctor at KNH relayed.
She is now seeking help from Kenyans for both prayers and financial help.
