Nvidia's stock rose 24% on Tuesday, a day after founder Jensen Huang's speech at CES 2025, to its record high in November. The chip maker has unveiled its GeForce RTX 50 Series desktop and laptop GPUs, its most advanced consumer graphics processor units for gamers, creators, and developers.

At a packed arena in Las Vegas, Nvidia founder Huang stood on stage Monday and marveled at the real-time computer graphics displayed on the screen behind him. He saw a dark-haired woman walking through ornate gold double doors and taking in the rays of light coming from the stained glass windows.

“The amount of geometry you saw was absolutely crazy,” Huang told thousands of spectators at CES 2025 on Monday night. “This would have been impossible without artificial intelligence.”

Huang said the GPUs, which use the company's next-generation artificial intelligence chip Blackwell, could provide a breakthrough in AI-powered rendering.

“Blackwell, the engine of AI, has come to PC gamers, developers and creatives,” Huang said, calling Blackwell “the most significant computer graphics innovation since it introduced programmable shading 25 years ago.” The Blackwell technology is now in full production, he said.

According to Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080 graphics cards will hit store shelves on January 30. siteThe GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5070 will be available from February.

Building on technology Nvidia released 25 years ago, the company announced it will also introduce “RTX neural shaders”, which use AI to help render game characters with depth – a The task which is extremely difficult because people can easily see a small error is Digital Human.

Huang said Nvidia is also introducing a new suite of technologies that enable “autonomous characters” to understand, plan and act like human players. Those characters can help players develop strategies or adopt strategies to challenge players and create more dynamic battles.

Apart from Nvidia, tech giants like AMD, Google and Samsung came to CES 2025 to unveil artificial intelligence tools aimed at helping both content creators and consumers alike in their quest for entertainment.

Nvidia and other AI stocks continue to climb, even as criticism grows that their stock prices have already risen too high, too fast. Despite concerns about a potential bubble, the industry continues to talk about its potential.
