Nyandarua’s John Methu Ranked Most Transformative Senator by Politrack

Nyandarua County Senator John Methu has been ranked as the most transformative senator in the latest Politrack report.

He secured the position after garnering an impressive 85.2% public approval rating in the research conducted between  November 19 to 26.

Following closely at position two was Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka with an approval rating of 81.1 per cent. 

Meru’s Kathure Murungi took the third place with a 75.1 per cent score.

According to Politrack, 1,068 registered voters were polled “through a rigorous quota sampling methodology, capturing perspectives from diverse demographic groups.”

The study analysed public perception of legislative effectiveness, offering insights into constituent satisfaction and political representation.

Beyond individual performance, the study also provided a broader view of Kenya’s political landscape, revealing how different counties perceive senators’ contributions.

The next three positions were claimed by Nairobi’s Edwin Sifuna, Nyeri’s Wahome Wamatinga, and Isiolo’s Fatuma Dillo, with scores of 74.8 per cent, 73.2 per cent, and 70.1 per cent, respectively.

Gachagua’s ally, Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa, garnered 67.3 per cent support, attaining the seventh position.

He was followed by Kakamega Senator Boniface Khalwale with 66 per cent and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda with 63.6 per cent.

Rounding off the top 10 was presidential aspirant and Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah, with a 62 per cent approval rating.

John Kinyua of Laikipia, Enoch Wambua of Kitui, William Cheptumo of Baringo, Samson Cherargei of Nandi, and Mohammed Faki of Mombasa took the 11th to 15th positions, all achieving approval ratings of over 50 per cent.
