The 13 were vetted and approved by the Parliament after Ruto submitted their names for consideration following their nomination on November 12, this year.

The IPOA, CAJ, and NGEC are independent constitutional bodies established under the Constitution of Kenya. Each has a distinct mandate: IPOA oversees the operations of the police to ensure accountability and human rights compliance.

On the other hand, CAJ addresses complaints related to administrative injustices and promotes good governance while NGEC works to promote gender equality and protect the rights of vulnerable groups.
