Wiper leader and Senior Counsel Kalonzo Musyoka revealed that he is currently leading the process of collecting key evidence that will enable him to present a case against the Government of President William Ruto at the International Criminal Court(ICC).
Speaking in Kimana, Kajiado County, on Sunday, Kalonzo announced that his decision to take the government to the ICC was driven by the recent surge in abductions.
”We will be taking them to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and we are gathering the necessary evidence. We cannot accept Kenya going the wrong way,” Kalonzo announced.
The senior counsel also condemned the government over the alleged abduction and killing of critics, vowing to seek justice for the families who have lost their loved ones.

According to Kalonzo, the government must also reign in to see that all the abducted citizens are released either dead or alive.
”We want our children who were picked against the law to be let free either dead or alive to enable us to know what to do,” he added.
The senior counsel’s sentiments came a few hours after abduction victims on Sunday issued a string of demands to the ICC after being released from captivity.
In a statement through the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC), the victims claimed to have been repeatedly threatened and intimidated into silence, compelling them against speaking about their experiences.
The activists, together with the KHRC, announced that they had written to the ICC in regard to the human rights abuses witnessed in the country.
“Victims and survivors of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killing have come forward to expose how the state has been tracking and intimidating them into silence following their participation in protests against the government,” a statement from KHRC read.
Single term Presidency
Kalonzo at the same time waded into the thorny political statement of ensuring that President Ruto only serves for a single term.
He further revealed that the opposition would announce a new and larger coalition within the next month—one he believes will block President Ruto from securing a second term.
”I want you to know that we have strong intentions of coming together. For those who you are not seeing here, you will see them after one month when we shall have made our announcement,” Kalonzo announced.
”We will make one team that will take President Ruto home in just one round,” he added.
