The US ended the biggest tech antitrust trial since going to Microsoft in the 1990s – possibly separated from the government Google's advertising business targeting antitrust case – But it is just the beginning of the process. Now, lawyers of Google and Department of Justice are arguing over the ruling, as well as what to do about the company and its products.
DOJ argued that Google hit anticomotive deals with Apple and other companies for major placements of its search engine. Google says its major market share is the result of a better product. Doj says that options to solve the situation include breaking Google for different products like Chrome, Search and Android, but it can be a little late until we hear about their entire plan. .
